Genesis Homes Debuts its Most Innovative Home for Baby Boomers

The high-tech “Bainbridge” transforms the routine into the extraordinary

Lumberton, NC, November 16, 2001 – Genesis Homes, the country’s only nationwide builder of modular homes, debuted its newest and most innovative home during a VIP preview yesterday in Lumberton, NC.   The preview gave elected officials, builders, developers and other dignitaries an opportunity to experience the unique home and its high-tech, electronically integrated amenities before making its official national debut at the National Association of Home Builders’ International Builders’ Show in Atlanta next February.

The 2,595 square foot “Bainbridge,” located in Lumberton, NC, is the only one of its kind until the February 8 - 11 Builders’ Show, when a second model will be the only fully-constructed home on the exhibit floor.  At that time, the home will be made available nationwide to builders and developers working with Genesis Homes.

The Bainbridge was constructed off-site, for maximum efficiency and quality, and was designed specifically for the baby boomer trade-up market.  Attentive to both the group’s ordinary and extraordinary lifestyle needs, the Bainbridge features a flexible floor plan, a state of the art home theater, a personal fitness center and other amenities intended to enhance the baby boomer generation’s ever-changing, energetic, health-conscious and high-tech lifestyle.  Each aspect of the home’s design, engineering and décor is tied to the home’s ultimate character:  “clean, green, energy-efficient and ‘smart.’”

Genesis Homes’ Bainbridge model is “clean, green, energy efficient and ‘smart,’” showcasing:

· an integrated electronic program controlling all the systems in the home, including lighting, air and water temperature, security system and Internet-enabled home appliances. 

It has nine foot ceilings, except in the great room, which features a 15 foot elevation, a flexible floor plan that can be easily adapted to accommodate either a teenager or an in-law suite, and boasts unique amenities like a juice bar and a personal valet — for home dry cleaning.
