Military Privatization (Fort Lewis, WA)

Building Our Nation's Finest

This successful 97 building development represents the first application of modular construction for military privatization projects.

"By partnering with Genesis Homes and converting to modular, we've been able to control construction and financing costs due to the much shorter construction period."

Project Scope

  • Phase I - 67 Buildings (180 living units)
  • Phase II - 30 Buildings (71 living units)

Champion Homes of Oregon

While meeting expectations for speed and quality with every development is a critical concern, meeting those expectations within the strict security and access protocols of a military installation created a significant logistical challenge.

  • In addition to basic building structures, Genesis provided the foundations, garages, porches and decks for more than 150 living units (including accessible units)
  • All structures met IRC building codes and since 80% of each unit was built and inspected off-site, the number of construction days required on-site, and the impact of the base's security procedures, were dramatically reduced.
